I was given a New King 601 Trumpet. It includes a stand, hard case, cleaners, oil, and the info from King. What could i expect for the re-sell value? I have limited internet use, and I believe this should be worth more than $200. Am I wrong?

Yes, if it's really brand new. They are student horns, but made in the USA and go for around $1,200. Expect half that unless yours is actually still wrapped up and untouched. Add $100 if yours is silver plated.

I hope someone didn't give you that with the intent that you play it, because it really is a nice starter horn and you'd want to reconsider hocking it.

No, a friend gave it to me. I am a musician, recording an album and it was given to help the project, but we need some effects so i was hoping this would help the finances toward the effects we are looking to getting.
