is it a Gold mouthpiece really

    Hi anyone see this on Ebay selling gold plated 7C mouthpiece for $9.95 free shipping .quite a few being listed..anyone buy one are they good .I was looking for a used Bach 7C and saw this anyone:-oAnthony

    Uh, if it doesn't say "Bach" than it isn't Bach. It is probably a knock-off Chinese brand at best. Maybe it has real gold on it somewhere though?

    I clicked through a few of these on eBay just to see what you were talking about. None of them even bothered to engrave a brand name. I even found one that swore to fit either Yamaha or Bach. Too bad I play a Blessing...

    I bought a gold plated megatone 1 1/2 C copy and actually really liked it...UNTIL the crap plating started wearing away and every time I played it I had a metal tasted in my mouth.

    They are just Chinese copies and while the actual piece is fine as far as measurements and consistency with a Bach, the plating is poop.
