time of year that vintage horns tend to be sold more than other times? I'm looking for a Selmer Lightweight and there are only a few floating around out there.

    >Before Xmas (Nov.-Dec) when people are selling their unused horns for Xmas $
    Hope this helps

    Mahatma?

I'm leery of Craigslist unless I can meet with the person and make the transaction face to face. I've been screwed a few times. 800.00 is a big screw.

OK, until I know your name it's Sahib:lol:They call me Carleton

I've bought a few horns on C-list. A few I was able to see and play personally.

One seller in Ohio was willing to send me the horn on approval after we spoke on the phone and made arrangements for me to pay the shipping and insurance, plus a refundable deposit in the form of a postal money order.

The horn was a Courtois Balanced and I think it warranted such an arrangement.
