    For me, they're homemade.

I use a large twist tie on the third valve slide of my Olds Ambassador.

I use some soft elastic hair ties. Any drug store should have them. Various colors. I use black or tan.

Work great and do not scratch at all.

Apply around the third slide ring and over the bottom of the third valve casing.

Whatever you use, don't use rubber bands. Make sure they are coated like hair elestics are. Rubber bands can leech sulfur in to silver plate and it doesn't come out.

If you can't find them in a tobacco shop, try craft supply store. They may be a thicker in the latter.

Many of these have rubber elastic inside that may produce irreversible stains on silver plate.
