DQ custom shop may be able to make the needed modifications. Just thought I'd throw that out there!
where's Dracula when you need him ...
Consider .... if the trumpet is removed, restored, and returned to it's original raison d'etre .... and the rack was used for, oh say a bottle of Grange Hermitage .... ...... or modified to support a 'Singing Bass' ....
Rack it up to a marketing ploy!
I'm raking my brain trying to decide if I need it.
The sound of the metal cluncking on wood every time I put it back! Not sure if I could take all that Rackit!
I guess I could re-sell it as a custom clarinet holder.......or give it to the sax player for whatever
Has anybody asked him WHY he thinks the red rack would be so desirable? I'm still working on one reason, any reason ..... He's from another planet.
And why RED?
Apparently, this individual doesn't have a full deck and DOES NOT know what they have. It is an oak frame, not some exotic wood like Koa, or Blackwood Australian. Otherwise the rack would be worth at least that much.
We TM'ers should launch an electronic assault on that seller and force them to sell/set free that wooden rack. "Let go of that rack,Let go of that rack,Let go of that rack"!!
Just for sh*ts and giggles I emailed the "seller". Sez I..."Hello the stand is great idea for resting of trumpeten after play. If I buy you removen dust and make me more for my more trompetts?"
Ain't heard back, what a surprise
