    Here's a link to a great obit for Joe Wilder, who clearly played beautifully, in whatever genre he was asked to. Sounds like a perfect gent too.

    That was the kind of obituary I hope they could write about me when I'm gone. he sounds like the kind of man I strive to be and urge my sons to become.

    I like when I hear of the relatively peaceful passing of someone who had a life well-lived. From the obit, it sounds like Joe was a man who lived his life at the pinnacle, maximizing his life for exactly what he was meant to do, and in doing so, enriching the lives of those he touched, either with music or with personal interaction.

    My obit, by stark contrast will likely be something like, "good riddance! Glad that ******* is gone!"
