Jon Faddis question

    I'm not that familiar with Jon's early stuff, but I have heard early Miles recordings vs. his later approach. Similar to what Rowuk said, looking for other avenues, because they 'been there-done that.' Need new ways and sounds to express themselves I guess.

    John is one of the most amazing players I've ever heard. I sometimes don't like the super high note stuff he does but he's earned the right to play whatever he wants. I had the pleasure of hearing him at a free outdoor concert teamed up with Slide Hampton a few years ago in Hartford and it was some very special music.. and he seemed like a really nice guy too! Both of them!
