Maybe the splash better could come OUT of the trumpet.
Sweet deal. Congratulations. As you have discovered, that horn is a significant step up from the 2335. Enjoy
Ma ma told me "splash is as splash does.."
How true. And its not like you are making a permanent alteration. Save the stock parts by all means, just in case you offend your standmate with your individual flare. Sheesh. Best wishes.
Usually while playing the fingers cover the buttons so only the player and a few others would know of the non-standard buttons.
Let the kids have their fun.
So, I think "standard" is highly overrated and boring. I think we have gotten off topic here. So sorry. Best wishes.
Just curious, how many of your horns have you "customized" by changing to non-standard parts, like finger buttons?
My Eterna Classic came with the gold trim dress up kit from Getzen as a special offer. That included gold top and bottom caps and finger buttons. I added gold finger buttons from Mouthpiece Express in color China Fire. They add a red/yellow splash of color to the horn that makes it look pretty impressive in my opinion (yes, just my opinion). My Xeno is all silver so I added silver finger buttons from Mouthpiece Express in color China Fire for the same red/yellow look. Color coordinated, no? I like them, that's all that matters. Best wishes.
If you go to my profile page and click on the Media section you can see a picture of my Getzen and her pretty buttons. Now don't try to tell me they aint pretty. Best wishes.
