Now THAT is cunning.
I would put the Pan Am up there. I got a good deal on my Holton ST302 MF Horn because it was a mantle piece display. No players in that household, but it was too beautiful to not display. "Someone" caused it to fall and right on it's mpc !!!!!!!
It's been repaired masterfully so far, but still has a few things to do to correct some alignments in the 1st and 3rd slides. It is an awesome player anyway!!!
In an effort to help relieve Toby's (can I call you Toby?) apprehension over the placement of my Getzen as well as to bring this thread back around to VentureScore's original post, I have moved my horn
and replaced it with an appropriate wall hanger
All is now well.
Champion of Champions - all the Getzen family are immensely relieved -
Yes, and with Sparty on guard duty, nothing can hurt it now!
Do not be afraid. This is not what it appears to be.
Is this your trusty wooden trumpet BigDub? Haven't seem him for a while. Some of the Newbies won't have met "Woody".
That would be the one. Good center of gravity there. not much chance of it falling, besides, I might know a guy who can fix it.....
I'm not sure how many people would be interested in Woody, but it was poplar right at the start..........
.... and I suspect the timbre wood be unique too?
That looks like a bugle that would love to be restored (possibly silver plated) and put to a players lips to sound TAPs now and then.
