The N-1 continues, and boy is it hard to let this one go. I bought this trumpet from Joe Pera at the Trumpet Shop in Rochester, NY. It was the first brand new trumpet I had owned since high school. It was my main axe for the past couple years, until I got my hands on, and quickly fell in love with, a Jupiter 1600i. I digress... This horn is in pristine condition, as it has been babied from day one. Cleaned and lined regularly, swabbed after every practice and performance. It comes with the Kanstul/Protec triple gig bag. No mouthpiece included, though. If you are not familiar with this model, it is the Kanstul version of the Chicago-era Benge trumpet. Legend and lore have it that Zig Kanstul has the original Benge tooling out there at his factory, and that these horns are sprinkled with the same magical pixie dust as the originals. I have to say that I believe that! The horn plays beautifully, can be dark and smooth, with lots of core, but it can light up like crazy. It feels very open to me, even in the upper register and beyond. Projection is huge. It has brass valve guides and fantastic intonation. PM me if you're interested. I will be posting it on eBay soon, and will update with a link. I am asking $1750, but would be willing to negotiate. No trades, though; I need the cash to fund a sound system. PayPal only, and the buyer pays the shipping and insurance. I typically ship USPS Priority Mail, but if a different carrier works better for you, we can figure it out.
