    Sorry gentlemen, it is my sick sense of humour, it is my rib tickle to all the collectors out there;) I don't really have a committee, in fact the instrument in question is my first trumpet that my grandfather bought me; a student Yamaha trumpet. Even though it is completely knackered, it has some sentimental value so, and i wouldn't swap it for an Olds Ambassador!

    One idea i have is to use a valve as an On/off button. Only problem is, that it would require lubrication, and i don't think the combo of electricity and oil would be a good one!
    Vulgano, i do like the idea of fiber-optics. That is potentially very cool! Nice
