I have air leaking through the left side of my lips when holding a note. It's not a lot, but it's there. What is this an indication of, and how can I illiminate this?

Without seeing your embouchure, it sounds like you need to tighten up the corners a little. Try putting a toothpic in the corners and play some long tones or a slow melodic etude. This may help tighten your corners. Best of luck to you, it will straighten out.

It may or may not be a problem. If it just happens occasionally, it could just be "tired". If it happens a lot, I would start buzzing on the mouthpiece any chance that you get (glissandi, slurs, tunes). That is the quickest way that I have found to tighten the corners up!
