leaky valves

    Is it the valve that is honed or the casing?

    Thanks, you've given me an idea! I'm going to try Trombone slide grease.

    Unevenly worn casing, there's the culpret. I can see where some of these old horns remain collectables only. Thanks. . .

    The valve is replated making it bigger in diameter. The casing then gets honed to match the bigger valve (if there is enough material left.....)
