Leaving for a few years

    Yep sounds like he has been talking to a recruiter. Same thing happened to me ( a LOOOONG time ago). I tried to pin the guy down on whether I would play or fight. He said there were no promises. SO, I didn't enlist. Maybe it's different now. We all have bad habits to deal with (just read our posts) but I think joining any branch of the service for that reason alone is misguided.

    The recruiter often makes promises he know happen to get an enlistment. However, the person seeking enlistment for his/her particular desires must not be taken in by promises, but reality. Once you enlist....the recruiter's promises may become meaningless. A word to the wise in that regard.
