Pressure from the Monette I am trying is causing my lips to get cut on the inside from my teeth. Any solutions? (other than less pressure, working on that)
Also, how do I take care of these cuts, doctors?

    Thanks

Relax, take a day off, avoid acidic drinks and try not to curl your lip.

    Less pressure....DUH!

Swish your mouth out with some lukewarm water with salt added, that was my trick when I got cuts inside my mouth.

OH YEAH --- as long as you are in College -- when you have too much to drink on a friday or saturday night --- TRY TO REFRAIN FROM PLAYING YOUR TRUMPET!!!! ROFL ROFL ROFL (((there is my public service message for today --- Friends don't let friends play the trumpet drunk as it leads to abuses of the lips)))) ROFL ROFL ROFL
-------disclaimer ------ that is humor(humour) and is in no way indicative that young Mark Kindy imbibes too much alchohol, or otherwise plays his trumpet after consuming any alcoholic beverages. the preceding does not intend to convey that the vast majority of college students actually drink alchohol, or drink alcohol in excessive amounts ----or play their trumpet when innebriated, after all, the young college students of today --- -are tomorrows future -------- ROFL ROFL ROFL

(((kinda makes you wonder what happened in colleges in the 80's doesn't it?????))))

Vitamin E capsules. Get about 400 unit caps. Poke a whole into one end, then squeeze the oil onto your finger tip. Massage this into the cut. Do this 4 times a day until it heals (typically about 7 days).

Also stop playing on sub-standard mouthpieces.

PS: If you want to keep the oil on cut, you can mix it with an equal volume of maalox AND if you want to get pain relief, add the same volume of a 2% viscous lidocain into the mix then apply it with a Q-tip.
