Lip Slurs

    How I wish this were true. My range is terrible - G above the staff - and I find I can push A/Bb if I'm slurring.

    My speech is slurred sometimes, then I don't own it.

    Irons book=chops of Iron(steel...whatever) I play from it everyday. I find it quickly gets me playing correctly early in my warmup. The Colin I use to practice lip trilling...I find this helps my range because if I can lip trill on say, a high D, I consider it usable! Also, pitch bends...a smaller slur...will help make sure you are relaxed in all registers.
