Lip trills

    When playing Hummel in Eb on a Bb trumpet, there is that G/A trill at the end of mvt-I. I've been told you can do either a 0-3 trill or 1,3 lip trill/shake.

    As I said, it is possible, but it is considered bad taste. I will give out small "trick" for the 0-3 trill - pull your 3rd piston slide a bit out (if you play that by starting with the top note first play the A then pull out) and the trill will become somewhat easier (the a will be somewhat flat, but in a trill it will remain unnoticed)
