long tones: Good or Evil

    As we see, at TM there is no mixed opinion about the usefulness of long tones.
    As with any other weapon, it is important that the brain is turned on before pulling the trigger!

    I find long tones every so often good to center my mind and breathing, particularly when I haven't been practicing a lot and need to re-establish my chops. But I will more often do Clarke exercises or Harris rotating scales, doing something else while doing long tones.
