Looking for a good restoration shop for a friend

Hello, I have a friend that lives around the Mount Vernon Indiana area and he is looking for a good shop in which to possibly restore his beautiful 50's Stradivarius trumpet. Any ideas of who or where he could possibly call to get a quote on pricing?

You might check out Mark Metzler, in Elkhart. I have only communicated with Mark about doing some restoration work, but he seems to have a good reputation.

Josh Landress in NYC and Dan Oberloh in Washington are at the top of the game when it comes to these things.

Agreed on Josh Landress for the NYC area. I'm always satisfied with his work. m

Another thumbs-up for Mark Metzler; I've had several horns done by him and his work is superb. Also in Elkhart is Pettifors; I've bought some horns which had been restored by Harry Carter there, and the work was also excellent.
