I have a 1938 Super that I was thinking of selling to help finance a piccolo trumpet.

Oh man, I always love the 1st slide saddle on these 30s Olds Supers.

Unfortunately all I have is a horn for trade at the moment.
Was also thinking about modifying one which would not suit something this old and valuable.

Would I take it too far? Not really. Besides, there's tons of Olds Supers especially during the 50s and 60s.

Lovely looking instrument. I'm seriously jealous!

It looks better from 2 feet away than it does in a close up photo. It has "good bones" but the lacquer is starting to wear and some bone headed tech over torched the main tuning slide receiver to un-freeze the slide (before I bought it)
It is a solid horn... Worthy of sending to a top notch restoration guy like Charlie Melk, Dave Winans, Robb Stewart, or Tom Green. (Apologies if I left you off the list... send me a PM and lets chat!)
