We are trying to expand the playlist for our "German polka band". We have s couple books already; Polka Time by Forest Butchel, Hungry Five in Germany by Harry Alford, and a couple others odds and ends that we pull from.

We've been searching for more of the little marching band size books with no luck.

Suggestions? We are looking for stuff that's really fun to play and hear.

Just a rarity that few know about! Too, it's a polka in the public domain and composed by a renown artist. I've it in my multi-horn repertoire. To hear it, e-mail me at: [email protected]. Extra points to identify the song and composer.

I believe my days of dancing a circle polka replete with Cossach step-drops are far behind me, but my present wife and I once tore up the floor.

Did you ever find sources for Polka/German music books? I'm looking for some myself right now and not having much luck.
