    That was the start of the 2nd half of Doc's final appearance as conductor of the Pops, Sunday, April 1, 2007.

    It was an outstanding concert, simpy wonderful. The trumpet section also performed a cool little quartet number (I believe Charles Lazarus wrote).

    There was cake and champagne after the concert and a toast to Doc.

    If was a most memorable day.
