Hit the wrong button on the title!

Anyone had any experience with this model in 0.453" bore? I have never seen one before.

I have one just come in which plays really squishy and wonder whether this is normal. There is nothing apparently wrong with it. It is clean, has no leaks, valves line up OK. Was the design really that bad?

I sold one last summer... Mine was a "CUSTOM" model from 1960. There were some lacquer runs on the bell from a repair in the past.
The horn was too tight for me. I never could find anything that said this "Custom" was actually a MAGNA or a completely separate model. It looked just like a Magna, but with more nickel trim.

Sounds like it might need a valve adjustment....

Ivan .. wish i had some experience with it... could the gap have an effect on how it plays?
