The first disc in the list is a Jam with Dinah Washington, Clarke Terry, and Clifford Brown. A classic.

Everyone on the Dinah Jam sounds awesome and I had to go to the liner notes many times to figure out who's who among those three great trumpeters. The ONLY song where it was easy to distingish the guys was "Summertime" where Clarke takes a great solo (my fav on the CD) and then Maynard take his ....... up an octave or two. Clifford Brown, at the time of this jam, had just formed his band and brought them along. BTW, there is really cool saxophone playing here and of course Dinah is great throughout. She is becoming one of my favorite jazz singers.

This is currently my favorite jazz recording.

Not on list, MF the lost tapes vol 1 and 2, I do not have any information as I downloaded from a subscription site a couple of years ago, recorded at a live performance.

    Regards, Stuart.

"Marketplace" off of the High Voltage, Vol. 1 album is one of the most fun songs from Maynard. It reminds you of one of something you'd hear in a Caribbean Island beach. The first word that comes to mind when I hear it is mojito.
