I like everyone's input. I have 3 Mega Tone 3C mouthpieces, and I'm determined to convert one of those shanks to fit my Couesnon. I live in Florida, and can take it to Warburton for the conversion. I'll report the results of the experiment. Thanks to all.

Warburton is a good way to go, if you really want to do this. However a megatone cup may present few problems. However Warburton are very good at what they do and they will tell certainly tell you if this can be done well on a megatone or not. If I was you I would bring also a standard 3C just in case.

It's not quite a trumpet and not quite a flugelhorn, so as a hybrid it would take a sort of hybrid mouthpiece, which would probably not work so well on a plain trumpet or a plain flugelhorn.

A friend of mine has a flumpet mouthpiece he uses to make his trumpet sound more like a flugel - fits his trumpet just fine. I think it's akin to the Bob Reeves C2J, but if used in a flumpet is probably a little darker.
