When Maynard Ferguson's band was learning new numbers in preparation for a new tour,
    where did they practice?
At MF's house in Ojai, California?

If they practiced at MF's house, where did they sleep for those few weeks?
On the floor at MF's house?
Or on wall-to-wall tempoorary twin beds?
Staying at local motels for such a long time while being paid so little would have been too expensive.

And where did the band eat?
Was someone in the band designated as the cook to work in MF's kitchen?

I have been a fan of MF for 50 years,
and this is the first time these questions have come to mind.

I'll ask Patrick, however, even new charts would just need one or two readings t be put into the rotation. They would runs new charts at the a rehearsal before the gig. You can look at the charts on the bus.
These guys are pros, they do not need a "few weeks".

At the Nation Trumpet Symposium in August of 1973 the second clinic consisted of watching Maynard and the band practice numbers.

If they didn't really need the practice, I wish they had answered questions from the audience the same as they did in the first clinic the day before.
