    Could it be a modified Gustat Heim (with a mic pickup)? The cup shape and first beveled flair on the shaft looks like the Gustat mouthpiece.

    Yes -- to get those incredible wah-wah pedal sounds. I think the first recording of Miles using the wah is "Live-Evil" from 1970.

    Why would it he photoshopped? Who would care enough about Miles or his mouthpiece to the point that they would photoshop something weird on his mouthpiece? I think it's probably authentic.

    Why would anyone care enough to write code for a virus?
    Why would people troll websites and post malicious stuff to disrupt conversations?
    Because people can.
    I was just suggesting it might not be real, that's all.
