Learn All Blues by Miles Davis for Trumpet
well maybe not
Pretty cool. Is there a library of transcriptions? A link? The album cover seemed to hide some pertinent information on my screen. Thanks.
Now for some observations:
1) Love the way he glides into that D above staff. Makes it sound so effortless, that until seeing this score, I never realized how high up he was in the register.
2) You really get to appreciate the space Miles used in his solos, by seeing all those rests throughout that solos, sometimes, rather extended rests.
This is why transcriptions are such powerful learning tools. Once you see the road map, you better understand the process.
I'm amazed at all the roots he played.
At first I thought there was a lot of them ... but it might only be singles from different artist ( that bummed me out a little)
I will snope around the sight and see if there are more.
