But they're free "elevator" music tickets!
Chris Botti live shows are not the same as his CD's.
I've been twice to see him in Vancouver with the VSO and have tickets again this year.
His live act is pumped up quite a few notches and he shares the stage with quite a few more amazing artists.
Well worth seeing.
Ah man, haters gonna hate.
Agreed on that point, seen him twice. Great people he brings with him onstage. Just not my fav style of music.....
It's called "Tall Poppy Syndrome" downunder.
I used y=to think he was just OK, then saw him live. Seen him again - and happy to see him again.
If I got that sort of buzz from an elevator, I wouldn't need the wife.
BTW - If I was offered 2 free tickets - well the only sight my band would see would be my tyre marks on the driveway. Lay down misere .... I'd be there wearing a big smile - and with the wife as she'd have a bigger smile than me.
My wife was very impressed by his Concert - won me a lot of brownie points taking her. Ed, a good opportunity lost...
You must be a genius. But in fact you did rephrase my question.
Now, see, if I was a genius I would know what that meant. But well, sorry Tobylou, I'm in the same boat as you- hey! there goes another poem. They just shoot out of me and I don't even try!
Saw Chris live about three years ago in a nice hall. His tone was fantastic. As already noted in this thread, his live shows are quite different than his CD's. Very engaging and highly enjoyable. Nothing snoozy about the performance whatsoever! His band and singer that night was phenomenal. The guy definitely knows how to entertain a crowd. A nice touch- he invited all the young student musicians in the house (including my son) to come sit in the front row. Not bad.
