Monette mouthpiece with non-Monette trumpet sound

    Rolf has great teeth and a fantastic hair-do (sorry EC-I couldn't resist).

    To me Rolf stands for a very flashy "in-your-face" type of playing and Bud was just the opposite - a 200% team player - always more interested in what the music had to say instead of what HE had to say.

    Nicely put Stuart, I was told that as we all speak with different voices (tembre), so too do we play with different "voices".

    I'd suggest using a Prana XLT blank on a non-Monette horn if you want a more conventional, brighter sound. They work very well on Xenos.
