    Hi guys,

Just a quick question this time, how much are Monette's and Monette mouthpieces? Have been wandering around the site and it hasnt got a single price listed so far as i can see. I know i couldnt afford one but how much are they? Are they as good as they seem?

Can't imagine they're not, given the obsessive TLC Dave practices. Just wish they would put a high shine on them. :) As well, they can fetch quite a bit more than ten grand.

    Cheers-

Monette's are extremely dear. They have however solved a problem for me. I have not ben happy with my sound for the last decade.I bought a monette and it is the best it has ever been. That is not to say that this would apply to all players.

If you have to ask the price, it's probably too much.

That phrase is applicable to many ridiculously expensive items.

Sorry, but to the people that [play them, and to many others they are not ridiculously priced.

    No Brand bashing please!

I do not think Monette's are overpriced.

I know that they are not overpriced. They just aren't for everybody. Dave makes the best horn HE can imagine. If you don't like his concept, you are better off with other equipment.

I believe that most great artists know more about THEIR craft than I do. That is why I do not need a frankentrumpet. I let people that I trust guide me. The Monette crew has always done a fabulous job for me!
