I am curious... what does the cat sound like?
He'd sound better if he would just play a Monique.
That is a pretty bass ackwards way of looking at it.
A word from the moderator:
by the way, we need some serious trumpet in this thread or it will be moved to the lounge. Any takers?
TRUMPET MOUTHPIECE BLUES - CLARK TERRY -1957 - YouTube
This is serious and FUNNY all at the same time. Kinda a unique way to learn, seriously!

Wow ...... check out the "conversation" with the (plunger?) mute around 1:30. I've never heard anything like that before ....
HIGHLY TRUMPET RELATED, YES???. (how does he do that???)
He is doing it without the trumpet......
(It's the player etc etc etc etc....)
I have owned numerous horns in my lifetime. I bought a 4 valve Monique Piccolo trumpet on eBay once for about 100 bucks. I then re-glued the figer buttons and had my tech work on some issues. I then re-sold it on eBay for about 20.00. I listed it as a "Monique Piccolo trumpet good for a paperweight"
I believe the feedback for the transaction called me "an honest seller"
I will not bid on another. Fool me once......
What he's doing sounds just like those Snoopy and Peanuts cartoon movie conversations between the kids and the adults. I'll bet that's where they got the idea for the voices ... This recording predates the Peanuts cartoon strip and so I think Terry Clark should get royalty payments. Shouldn't he?
