mouth piece swap

    Bill's message is a good reminder of why there are so many different mouthpiece makers and they each (most of them) have so many different mouthpiece models to choose from -- it's alright to try mouthpiece recommendations which others make (especially if you can try them out at a music store and see if they might actually help you before buying them) but we each need to be open-minded enough to use a mouthpiece which nobody else might recommend, if it happens to be the best we've found for ourselves.

    Years ago, my former teacher suggested using Preparation H to minimize swelling of the lips? Anyone tried this?

    A cold lager works for me. There's something about the bubbles that does the trick.

    um. as long as that's the only thing you use that specific tube for.;-)

    I think you should worry more about using a specific finger versus a specific tube. :shock:
