Mouthpiece and range

    Find a mouthpiece that is comfortable for you and gives you the sound you want. Range will come with practice.

    I didn't mean to imply that they require more mouthpiece pressure, but rather that if a person uses more mouthpiece pressure, it rewards them with higher notes than using the same pressure on, for example, a Bach mouthpiece. Usually with horrible tone and endurance but higher notes nonetheless.

    As to your comment on pressure, try telling that to Arturo or to Maynard. :-)
    P.S. I agree that for most players, high mouthpiece pressure isn't a good thing, but as the man says, Never say never. :-)
