My First Two Paying Gigs

    When I played as a kid some 30-40 years ago, I never was paid for anything. In the twelve years since I have returned to playing, I never expected to be paid, so it was a pleasant surprise. I think I'll still keep my day job though......................

    First was 36 years ago- twenty dollars for playing taps.
    Two weeks ago I got $150 for playing a Christmas gig
    with a church orchestra.

    Got my first little envelope Sunday, $25 for a dance gig. We got fed,too. Next one is just getting fed( spahghetti dinner), not sure about the one after that:oops:

    Congrats! Getting paid when you don't or least expect to is never a bad thing.
