In plain sincerity, why every American trumpet player in US seems to think that he has to blow his own head off when performing the national anthem? All the guys that posted, including Arturo got georgous sound and mostly correct or better than just correct playing. But for God's sake, THIS IS AN ANTHEM! I have never seen a fortissimo dynamic noted on an anthem cornet part!
I do appreciate constructive criticism. I might try playing along with recording (YouTube) of a vocalist and see if I can phrase in the same manner. As far as your statement “I would not pay to have you play while other might” I will take as a back handed complement because I am flattered you think some might pay me. I do not play for pay, I play for fun. I am not sure I understood your comment; ”don’t expect me to teach it your way to any student”. Music is about free expression; I would never tell anyone they have to play it my way. I think it is so intriguing that the same song can be played so many different ways and all are good in one way or another. Do you think you could post an audio or video clip of you playing the SSB? I would love to see how it is done.
PS: You were kidding in your previous post about laws on how to play a song right?
I usually a purist when it comes to the National Anthem, but that's pretty good.
