I just wanted to know if anybody had ay ideas about a Slow And Lyrical solo for Missouri's Solo and ensemble contest. Something Grade A and very lyrical. I emphasize on the lyrical part because the last few years I haven't played a very nice slow and lyrical song.I have played Hummel and Haydn Concertos my freshman and sophmore years and just wanted some suggestions for this year. THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Try "Hollow Men" by Vincent Persichetti. It is standard literature rather difficult and modern but very lyrical. This piece would give you a great test on playing musical, lyrical and in tune.
