    AND SURE OF THIS -
Selmer Invicta - London - Manufactured in Braintree Essex for Selmer London part of the Original Selmer PARIS Company. Selmer London was set up Around 1950 by H Selemer tob reak into the UK market (i think it was based in Charing Cross ?? not sure on the location in town sorry)

The Invicta is a intermediate horn manufactured from late 1959 to 1972 at the Braintree factory. (prior to 1960 the braintree plant only manufactured Professional models - these were Chris Huttl Design Trumets "Supers" with 1954 - 1959 and without 1951 - 1954 trigger keys for Selmer) in 1972 the Company folded , was sold on or relocated to New Brunswick and manufactured the Invicta for the US market until.....

I AM ADVISED OF HIS LATER HISTORY -
i believe 76 when Conn absorbded Selmer as a Company - all divisions France , US, Germany. They are now called Conn Selmer a US based company and the invicta is no longer in production.

WHATS IT LIKE / WORTH -
this Horn is a great horn has a soft tone almost flugelhornesque at times but sharp enough for jazz, round not tinny. NIce mid range instrument. Valuation at worst / worn about a ton and at mint very best 350 - 500 from a specialist. its a hard to sell model as its lost in time, People just dont remember it - Shame really its a great horn.

    Hope this helps.
