    Hey guys,

I just got Mr. Hickman's new mute...Sotto Voce, cool green color, with an awsome sound. You should check it out, lot better than the chicago mute. I couldn't believe it

actually am not advertising....since I have nothing to do with the creation of this mute....I did the excerpt books, not quite the same thing.
Just letting people know that there is a great mute out there you should check out. I like it and will be using it in orchestra this season. I use to have a chicago mute before for soft playing, but this one kicked its b...

    Anyway

:-P[/quote]Have you seen that card Pops used to send? The one with him seated on the porcelain throne. "Leave it all behind you" is the caption

    Yeah,
I loved that card. It has the appearance of looking through a key hole and then you see Louis on the Toilet with a huge grin on his face. I once had one of those blown up to poster size and then hung it on the wall. It got a lot of cool...uhh...glares.

the chicago mute is a blue cardboard (sorry for the spelling) pretty good for soft, free blowing...i really liked it and used it for a long time unfortunatly I don't think you can find them anymore. This new mute, Professor Hickman designed it with the help of one of his Master Student.
