    Hi all as a newbie trumpet player I have acquired a Yamaha C trumpet. Could you please tell me if the following fingering is correct......

    ......0 = C
    1+3 = D
    1+2 = E
    1 = F
    0 = G
    1+2 = A
    2 = B
    C = 0

    Also would the above all sound as per piano.................Thanks

    A "C" trumpet has the same fingerings as a Bb trumpet to create the scale (in the case you cited, a C Major starting on middle C). The only difference is that it starts 2 semitones/ one whole step above the same fingerings on a Bb, or conventional, trumpet.

    A trumpet in the Key of C, should play the exact same notes as the piano. No transposing is required.
