    What your New Year's Trumpet resolution?

    Last year my resolution was to relax my single tongue in the high register, and i have managed that, in fact my accuracy and flexability in the high register is considerably better.

    My resolution for this year is to improve my articulation, and to become more disciplined with a daily routine!

    What is yours?

    Merry Xmas

    Get an Arban's book, which might happen at Christmas.
    Be more solid up to high D, by March, for all county.
    Learn how to triple tongue, and double tongue more cleanly.
    Attempt carnival of Venice.

    Oooeee, that's a long list.

    1. A more disciplined practice routine;
    2. Get back to taking lessons from a good teacher, which will require more practice time;
    3. Expand my standing repertoir. which will require more practice.

    Did I mention that I need to be more faithful with my practice time?:play:

    My resolution on the horn is to truly learn to focus while making music.

    I'm handling my wandering brain a bit better lately.

    Concentration, is a bloomin tricky one. It can be all to easy to slip into "automatic pilot", or to just indulge in the joy of playing without making the disciplined focus.
