Note Naming Conventions

    I think what OP is hoping for is something we can use on TM. Obviously coming up with a universal notation accepted by all is some other issue for the World Musicians Super Guild. It would be nice for the vets on this site to just come up with something, document it in one of the sticky threads, and then we all can refer to it when needed. As a newbie myself I often have questions regarding various notes or ranges and it gets tedious and confusing trying to convey what I'm asking.

    The problem is that there are simply too many trumpet players that stop learning and stick with what they heard first. All threads that try to educate end up in two camps:
    1) great idea
    2) everyone that I know does it my way.

    You can lead a horse to water, but sometimes you have to drown them.......
