Great clinics at the National Trumpet Competition.

You can watch online - LIVE Webcast (2015 Competition)

From Rick Baptist's master class. There are 3 registers when playing the trumpet: the high register, the low register, and the cash register. The "cash register" is about showing up on time, following the conductor, and listening to those around you.

For those who may not know who Rick Baptist is, he has been a top call motion picture, cartoon, and TV trumpet show player for many years. Name the TV show or movie, he is on it, many times on 1st, too. Thousands of movies and thousands of other shows.
He can play anything and usually uses his trusty gold plated Schilke B5, which he has owned since 1965. He does, of course, use other horns when needed (mostly Schilkes) but the B5 is his main axe.

This has to be one of the best trumpet sections you can possibly find. Let to right. Jon Lewis, Malcolm McNab, and Rick Baptist.

Hi Rich. Thanks for the additional information. During the master class, Rick Baptist shared some great stories about his studio work.
