    Thank-you for the link.

We have lost our "York" trumpet expert and he was also a very nice gentleman. Condolences to his family and friends, and those that were lucky to have known the man. Very sad news.

Sorry to hear of his passing. I only knew him through TM but the few times I did talk with him, he was a class act. He saved me from buying several clunkers. Thoughts and prayers for the family. He has been and will be missed. :-(

Lou knew his stuff about trumpets and York in particular. Horn-U-Copia even used him as a York resource for factoids on the subject. For that matter I want all you old-timers to know we appreciate your wisdom on these forums. It is inspiring to see guys like Old Lou keep the passion for music and horns well into his advanced age but even more inspiring that he was able and willing to share what he knew with others.

He sure left a void, as do all kind and knowledgeable folks when they pass. Who was it said that when an old man dies, a library has burned.
