    Yee HAW!
Thanks to our friends on "another" trumpet site, this information has come along. There will be an online masterclass this Sunday evening at 7 pm, EST at http://www.artistshousemusic.com./ . If you check around on that site you'll find a couple of archived discussions around these master classes as well.

Wow, is there ever a bunch of good stuff on that site. Now that I've got some time I found the Warren Vache/Ray Vega video interview. 'Fraid the idiot box isn't going to get much of a workout this weekend! Just too much here to 'see'.

    What a website!

Anybody else not able to get a connection? Maybe they're starting late?

Edit: Ahh, there it is, 1/2 hour late and still setting stage.

I think I just realised something by watching this webcast plus the previous one with the Heath brothers and even the archived ones. You watch these elderly gentlemen and when they come out on stage they look so fragile. But once the music starts.... hooo boy! Their faces light up, the feet start tapping and their entire demeanor changes.

I think that's enough reason to want to be a musician right there!

Wilmer, that wasn't you in the yellow (tan?) hat was it?

I sat in the first row for Clark's masterclass. He is a natural teacher. When he demonstrated the doodle-tongue to the players their understanding of the tune they had just played seemed to grow. The young trumpet player began to think in an ensemble-like way rather than a trumpet lead way.
Jimmy Owens and his wife were there. A Sagittarian good time was had by all us crazy December babies
