    Hello All!

Just a quick question here! What is your opinion of Andrea Tofanelli?

All I know is from his YouTube clips, which are pretty impressive. The short excerpt of the Brandeburg2 sounded good but it's really hard to tell on YouTube, and it was only a few bars. I believe he has won substantial awards throughout/following his conservatory education, he hasplayed all over the place with many big names.

There is a site, ScreamTrumpet.com, that USED to have some clips of Andrea, along with Cat Anderson and a number of other players known for their high chops. It is under renovation right now and the environment has changed. Anyway, there was a clip... I think it was "A tribute to Maynard" that was absolutely awe-inspiring for me. A very fine player with a robust sound, incredible range and control, and taste to go along with it. I was very impressed.
