I thought that I had read in the WWBW catalogue that the P-Bones had metal "stockings" for the slide. If they are coming out with a trumpet soon, what's to say that the maker won't have some kind of metallic parts for the valves or the casings? Dan :-)

Probably brass sleeves in the plastic valve casings, like the Olds Pinto. Maybe plastic valve cores with outer surrounds of thin stainless tubing. That would be the way to keep costs down.

I know it's not as intricate as a trumpet...but my (trumpet playing) son bought a pBone trombone with the money that my parents gave him as a gift...(i'm just happy he didn't buy more Legos)...and it sounds pretty good considering nobody in the family really knows how to play it.

It'll be interesting to see the reviews and demos of the trumpet.

Online Conn-Selmer has the position chart for the trombone.
