    Jimmy Levine's MET (Mark Gould) recording on DG is on my desert island list (Derek, please note).

    . . . funny, I thought that I was off of tonal music.

    Absolutely magnificent work, great stuff!! Listen to Phil Smith do it on his excerpt CD, it's to die for!

    International Music Company has a set of Wagner excerpt books that are quite good.
    Every aspiring legit player should have as many excerpt books as they can get.
    If something is not in the books, do it the old fashioned way.........get a score and hand copy the part :cool:
