I have made nothing, and I have made a lot for a single gig. Oddly enough, the ones that paid the most were great resume items, but were the least musically stimulating, while the ones that paid nothing or the least often were the ones that really got my blood pumping.

Though I haven't done that many gigs, $5. From an old lady who put it in a donation basket when I was playing for a Walk for Diabetes (or was it heart disease?) in a mall, oddly enough, and just as the first of the runners came towards my "checkpoint" I began blasting the Rocky Theme, all the people thought it was adorable, (I was in 10th grade at the time). Went straight into my wallet with a very content smile on my face.

You could also count the $500 scholarship my college gives to the marching band students each year, which I also enjoy.

Getting paid for playing? This is new news to me. I thought you just play for the love of it. I will now have to re-evaluate what I am doing.

I'm thinking of opening up a gator removal service with my trumpet playing. If that counts, I'll let you know... ROFL

The only Paying Gig I have going on now is the community band -- they give out free ice cream after each concert --- I mean can you really put a price on that??? ROFL ROFL ROFL

No less than $50/hour. Most is $200/hr that I got through the local Musicain's Union.

Last paying gig was 1981...now, I feel blessed if they will just let me play.
