Poor man's mute rack

    I posted this over at TH, but I imagine some people don't frequent both sites. I recently saw a friend use his home made mute rack at a big band gig. It looked very functional, so I made one for myself. It works really well. All you need is several feet of heavy gauge wire.

    Looks like #8 copper ground wire. @ $1 a foot around here. Way cheaper than plastic and much classier looking. Would really compliment my Getzen Super Deluxe. :cool:

    It is copper ground wire, but I forget what gauge. I'm pretty sure it is bigger than a #8. It took about 7 or 8 feet to make it.

    hmmmm... do you use Brasso or MAAS on it?

    Hey, CoolerDave. I used brasso on it, then cleaned it with alcohol, then lacquered it. Hopefully, I won't be polishing it.

    Laurie- you have to use a hosting site to post pics on there. I use Photobucket.
